rule book questions

for autocross, do you need a rule book to race?

Actually...Yes, for Portland SCCA -edit
And they will check during tech.

You need a rule book to run in Portland. I think the rulebooks are $15 and they're available at registration.
From what I understand, Portland started requiring rulebooks to cut down on the frivolous protests and complaining.

Do you? I didn't think you ever had to have one. You are supposed to have a factory shop manual though.

yea, my friend told me that everytime he goes through tech, he is asked for his rule book and its supposed to be required. oh well, i guess i will buy one
