A lot of questions.....new to honda/acura....buying gsr soon.
Hey I am selling my a4 soon for a gsr and have some questions. First off was book value of these cars. Is kellys blue book a good source for pricing of gsr. Is a 4 door's performance any worse then 2 door? It says a 95 gsr with 47,000 miles is worth like 6,700 I was wondering if this is about right. The guy selling the car has it priced at 8,700. Also when I get it I don't have much money for mods (college at UNH next year!) but would like to do a few. I know the rear ITR swar bar is a favorite and may do that, but with stock everything else would it reduce much body roll? I am thinking about getting new shocks/springs but was wondering how the neuspeed sofsports are? they lower like .75 ( in NH dont want to lower much and dont want to need a camber kit) does anyone know if its fine to use these with stock shocks, and if i do how much body roll it will reduce. I would like the car to handle pretty well (flat in turns would be great but must cost money)and would like some tips on mods that won't cost an arm and a leg. There are also H&R OE sports that I saw......same as neuspeed maybe a little softer. One more thing.....as far as power the police around here are DICKS and people always get D.E tags for exhaust, would an intake and header do much with out exhaust. I know they all work together. If not anything else I could use? Sorry for all the Q's going from audi to acura is quite different as far as mods. Thanks

8.7k is pretty good for a gsr w/only 47k miles. you could prob talk him down to around low 8s cause its a 95. its sway bar
, i think some people on this board shuold have the neuspeeds, try to IM them or do a search, you'll find a lot on springs/shocks combos.

man your going from a Audi A4 to a Acura Integra GS-R and your on a budget... well as for the stock shocks they will be fine BUT.... the life of them are going to go down i would invest in some shocks and springs and front/rear strut bars so the shocks does most of the handling work rather than the body. Upgrading the rear swaybar is always a good idea. And also look into investing in some new wheels.
As for purchasing the gs-r make sure you do a compression test and leakdown test and when you get the car change all your fluids out and check the belts, etc.

I have the H&R OE Sports, and they would probably be fine with stock shocks - the spring rate isn't that much higher than stock. They won't drop the car so low that you'll be scraping on everything, either. I have KYB AGX shocks with mine, and I think it's a good combination. Between those and the ITR rear sway bar, you'll be very pleased with the way the car handles (especially compared to the relative boat-like qualities of the A4).
$8700 is kinda high, but 4-door GSR's are tough to find, and that's really low mileage.
IMO, skip the rear strut tower bar and don't upgrade the front. The performance benefit is minimal, and you can probably find a better way to spend a couple hundred dollars. You'd also lose more trunk space than you think with the rear bar.

Make sure you're ok with a 4door before you buy it. I wouldn't be happy with a 4door and I'm glad I didn't buy the one I looked at, but some people love theirs... just make sure before you buy.
Do a compression test and report back with the numbers before you buy it, a compression test will speak volumes for the motor.
Off Topic, but how's this for losing trunk space?

why are u going from an audi to an acura
buy an Type R, you won't regret it,
GS-R is up there in tunability but ITR is just way too much fun
