Default 91 CRX: Will it effect performance to move o2 sensor from header to under the car on an aftermarket

The reason I'm asking this is because I just picked up a used header that was made for 92-96 D series motors. I know it will bolt up, but I will have to move the o2 sensor because the hole on the header is for an o2 location underneath the car. Will this effect performance? I would like to hear any suggestions before I try to put this sucker on.

that header is taller, if your car is lowered it is goin to scrape the crap out of your exhaust. I put a 92-95 civic header on my crx and it was awful, i scraped everywhere. I would recomend something actually made for the car. I just bought a cheap pacesetter header for like 100 bucks. hope that helps,

by the wa my car was lowered as well.

Unless you have heated O2 sensor you should not put the O2 sensors in another location. The one-wire O2 sensor needs the heat of the exhaust to work properly.

Yup your gas milge will prolly take a small hit, and being that far back in the exhuast track will kill the 1-wire O2 allot quicker than normal. A 4-wire O2 conversion isn't that hard.

It says it is for a prelude with 2 o2 sensors. Is this right? I only have one. Does anyone have anymore ideas how to wire this 4 wire o2?

It's the same process. Read the page.

There is a similar "how-to" on my website, check the sig.
