Hey everyone, I just walked by my car and noticed that the moisture that has been inside my taillights ever since I bought the car in June 2001 is now gone! It would seem that my new taillight gaskets did more than just fix the water leaking into the trunk. So even if you don't have problems with the trunk leaking, if you have moisture in your taillights (like tiny drops just inside the outer lens), make or buy new gaskets and your problem should be solved! If you don't want to make your own, buy a set from ragejed: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=378920

I don't, but they are around $27 each from the dealer (BIG RIP OFF) so I would recommend making your own or buying from ragejed.

link to OEM gasket
They cost 23.11 online probably around 30$ at the dealer. I would go with ragejeds gasket if I needed some.

Way to go ragejed ~ I paid out the *** for them from the dealer a couple years ago and would definitely have rather given the cash to an H-T member.

They just "wear out" - mine looked they had dry rotted - all cracked and crumbly. They are made of something akin to neoprene foam.....they just dont last forever. IMHO, they should have been made out of rubber.....then they would probably last nearly forever.........
get them from ragejed!!! i got a pair a few weeks ago, and they are workin great, since we got like 30inchs of snow one day and kept snowin a few more times and rain... these gaskets worked wonders. help a fellow HT member and get some from him. great business
i want a pair, i went to that thread and it said i wasnt able to participate in that forum, so i couldnt pm him.

i couldn't have said it better. it's not intuitive, but the tails leaking can cause all kinds of weird stuff to go on.

I had moisture in my headlamps last summer. I took the bulbs out and left the car in direct sunlight without the bulbs plugged in. The moisture evaporated into the air.
Problem solved.

Whats the best way to get rid of the moisture in the tailights before I put on the new gaskets? I would prefer not to drill any holes as I've seen that mentioned before.
THanks!
