2000 V6 Accord vs. 2000 Jetta VR6
ok so whats up wit this....
my buddy in his 2000 Accord V6 lost to a 2000 Jetta VR6. Mind you the Jetta was stick and had just lowering and exhaust. They raced off the line both not having ANY burn out what so ever and the Jetta kept pulling every gear.
Is it suppose to be like that?

3300lbs with 200hp and 195lb-ft with a weak torque curve verses 3086lbs with 176hp and 181lbft with some real nice low end nut. Stock accord does 7.8 - 8.1 0-60, jetta does 7.4-7.6 0-60. Also unlike accord, the jetta has some decent gains from exhaust. Also the jettas torque numbers are spec'd a little low. When they're putting 172lb-ft to the ground STOCK with a 181lb-ft spec, they're not spec'd on the nose, unless they only have 5% drivetrain loss. A stock accord puts about 150hp and 150lb-ft to the ground
This is a 2000 vr6 jetta stock versus p-flow exhaust

here's an everlay from a member of another board(hope you don't mind stevetec) this shows the weak *** torque curve of the j30a1 versus a vq35de(last gen maxima motor) and a 1mz-fe toyota(solara motor). These are shaft HP not to the wheels so figure in 20% drivetrain loss. I'll see if I can dig up to the ground av6 dyno
