Well, to be honest the CRX exhaust is coated, with a gunmetal colored heat coating. On top of that it comes in 3 peices, after cat, b pipe and muffler section. Then tack onto the fact that its HKS. It's a sexy exhaust and the sound is well unchallenged unless you compare it to a mugen exhuast. Very quiet and yeilds fairly good power. I would recommend custom. I speak from experience because, I use to own one on my NA CRX till it was wrecked and it wasn't very useful when I went turbo, so I sold it 2years ago. Great exhaust though. Price was steep but, it was the best damn exhaust I could find because only thermal, bosal and few others were available in bolt on form.
did you even read what i posted?
both of those exhaust are made by hks, both of the part numbers are the same, so i dont know why the one for the crx is 2 bills more
is the one for the civic not "coated" and does it not come in 3 peices?

the back two pieces are exactly the same, it's the piece that comes off the cat. that is exactly 7" shorter (or so I've heard) you can probably buy the civic one and take it to the muffler shop to have it shortened. I originally bought my HKS in '93 for $375.00, now for some reason they are just ridiculously expensive. I used mine for approx. 6 years before the muffler rusted at the flange. At which point I just reused the flang and put a Dynomax on the HKS piping. Just recently I bought a Civic HKS setup from EF_lsvtec and just used the back two pieces. Now I have the stealth looking tips again. (the untrained eye would think it's stock).
