Default ITR Springs on GS/LS/GS-R

Anybody have pictures of these? From what i've heard its about a .5 to 1 inch drop. nothing major- where i live is extremely hilly so i don't want to lower it too much.....Based on what i've read i won't need to replace my stock shocks, but will they wear out quicker due to the increased response rate? Will these springs fit right in there without new control arms (if I use my old shocks?)

Thanks

Rubens

you are correct on pretty much everything. It depends on how many miles your stock shocks have on them to determine how long they will last. My advice, get a set of KYB adjustable shocks (340 shipped) and the ITR springs. That combo will give you everything you want and some. Good luck

they will fit with your old control arms the only time you need to change those out is if you also want to run the itr rear shocks. good bang for the buck supsension for cheap

you should also look into the h&r oe springs. they have a drop of .75"-1" and have stiffer spring rates than the itr springs.

yeah with the higher response rates though I'd rather not do that. i'd rather keep stock shocks.

I have ITR springs/Koni yellows on my GS-R. The perch is on stock settings front and rear.
These were installed after a Pro-kit (from a 92-95 Civic) finally blew out my stock shocks after three years.

I just tried taking some pics, but the light was bad, so they didn't turn out. I'll try again tomorrow morning.

If you have a sedan, the rear will be a little lower than the front.

Here are the pics.
It's been raining the last few days so you'll have to look through the dirt.

I'm running 195/50 tires, so if the wheel gap looks wierd that's why.

Those pics looks pretty good!!..nice ride!

Would the aftermarket shocks/ITR spring combo lower it more than just the ITR springs/stock shock combo?

^ I think if you get Koni yellows you can lower it more, im not sure how much so somebody correct me on that one. But if you want to eliminate the wheel gap youre gonna have to go for some aftermarket springs. I say H&R sports gives your car a nice aggressive look and a nice smooth ride.

Only if you have aftermarket shocks with adjustable spring perches.

I have ITR springs/Neuspeed Konis. I'm going to drop it to the lowest perch all around soon. I'll post pics when I'm done.

I have the same set up as Mugenb18...ITR and Koni Yellows. I like this set up alot. The cars seems to grip the road better and a definate reduction in body roll.
Here is my pic.

Like I mentioned before I had a pro-kit on the car prior to this setup.
Here are some comparison pics.
This is with the Pro-kit.

Witth the ITR springs.

There's not much of a difference in the rear, but the front is noticebly higher in person. That is in fact the reason I chose the springs I did.

Here is a pic of my stock GS-R springs next to the ITR springs.

Thanks...just the pics i was looking for!!

Jon...know anyone selling used H and R sports? I have R springs already but not yet installed...may want to go lower...but from the pics above I like the drop.
Its only a temporary fix til I get full coilovers. ie. when i have money.

Jamie: I dont know anyone selling H&R sports yet, but I'll keep an eye out for you I usually check the classifieds on various boards.

I know someone who can get them for 280+tax if you're willing to spend that much.

ITR springs are cool, but personally, I think you'll be craving stiffer springs and a more aggressive drop down the road. i just put on gc's on koni's on friday, 400f/350r and already wish i had gone stiffer

i guess the itr springs are cool if you don't plan on messing with anything at all afterwards...but if you have an inkling that you may want to go lower/stiffer later on, save yourself the trouble and go stiffer now. just my opinion

Reg koni's on the stock perches, front and rear.

The front is a little lower, the ITR springs are nice in that effect. The Pro-kit was quite a bit lower in the front because It was made for a Civic.
The Civic Pro-kit has a little bit lower spring rate for the lighter engine.
Also the Civic Pro-kit is made to give a 1.4 in. drop in the front where as the Pro-kit for the teg is made to give a 1.3 in. drop.

Thanks for the compliments guys.
