C-Pillar bar in a Sedan?
Hi!
I really need an answer from someone who's actualyl tried making a custom c-pillar bar for a 96-00 sedan. I don't know if I can call it a c pillar bar, more like rear seatbelt bar. I was thinking of puting a bar where the two rear setbelts mount to the chasis but the place doesn't look that solid, will it do anything? Or best bet for a sedan is a good rear strut tower brace?
I got the trunk bar already, just looking into making more bars
Will it work?

It will work, but like you said it going to be custom and you going to have to take out the backseats to make it fit right. It's not going to be that much better, but whatever floats your boat. 6th Gen 4 Door Rock tho. Good Choice of car.
from my understanding, a pillar bar in a coupe/sedan probably wont do much because we already have that speaker tray area thingy majiggy. its not like we have a big gaping hole prone to flex right there (besides the window??). im interested if this does any actual good on a coupe/sedan. if not. perfect bar for a camera mount
Hmmm, in my Integra GSR sedan, the rear upper tower bar made a big difference.. spoon and mugen ones are what I had tried out, both added a lot of rigidity to the tail end of the car.
I made a C-Pillar bar for my current car, a '92 CX hatch and it made a noticable difference even with a rollbar and upper tower bar installed.....
But...
I really doubt you will notice any difference with a C-pillar bar in a Civic coupe or Civic/Teg sedan.
Seriously.
Not worth the time or effort... you are better off working on the front and rear lower braces first
