how do the d series trannies hold up to auto-crossing?

any transmission out of a modern car will not break on you while autocrossing or track racing unless you do something stupid with it and/or abuse it.

Will it wear? Yes, but it wont take a dump on you.

i have seen 2 d series trannies take a DUMP at auto-x's!!!

89civ what mods do you have? what do you plan to do with the car?

personally my d series did well even with 160 rated tires and 75 shot of nawzzz

If I post my 94 DX is holding up fine (with 20x9.5 Hoosier slicks),
it just might take a dump on me....so I'm not saying.

Previous '93 Si tranny was great. Old '94 DX tranny was great. Current tranny with LSD is great. I think they're great.

i run an std with a 91 si tranny and it holds up well. i never get out of second gear. first could be taller but other than that it's the motor(d15b2) that seems more limiting.
