My SMOG issue
Unfortunately, my car is completely stock now. Anyhow, it doesn't want to pass smog! It's at about 3,000 knox, when it should be down to something around 1,600. I've also noticed that quite often when I hit the gas, the car hesitates, and has a sluggish response (if it drive the car for about an hour, it doesn't occur!). I pulled a code 45 twice, but that hasn't shown recently. As far as I can think, everything is stock OEM. My car is a 99 GSR. I highly doubt that it is the cat. because I had a high flow cat in there for 2 years. Only thing I can think of is ECU... I have a 96 GSR ecu in it... but even if it was JDM, could it cause this? BTW, the smog fellow told me it's running too lean. I use to have B&M FPR, but I swapped it out for a 00 LS FPR.
I've gone hips over heal over this... from changing my stock gsr block back in, to throwing a stock gsr head back on!
