Rule enforcement for all
Repost from B-series.net H-C forum. More traffic here.
With the advent of additional regional H-C series, it seems apparent that enforcement of the rules will naturally become more stringent in the near future. Having no racing league experience leads me to inquire about motor enforcement and "tear downs". It seems a honor-system approach was used during the inaugural year. Considering some racers drove there cars to the track in 2002, it seems enforcement could be very troublesome for these individuals. Can anyone elaborate on how NASA/H-C will approach this? What about other series?
info@honda-challenge.com knows all.
I do have some inside info though. Any infringing motor will be torn down using only pliers. It's parts will be returned to its owner in hermetically sealed mayonaise jars to be re-assembled by the owner it his/her leasure. Illegal parts will be kept and sold on e-bay to buy more pliers and jars.

Here's the link to NASA's GCR.

See Section 17.0 for vehicle legality inspection and teardown rules. Not to say any of this teardown stuff will happen, but it is allowed in the rules.
