ok guys,
i am really eager to get rid of my safc and fmu setup but, i am not really up to date on ems systems, what is required with them, and how much they cost. here is my setup:
b16a2-stroked to 2.0l w/9.5-1 cr.
b16 head w/ crower springs-retainers-valves, aem cam gears
t3 60-1 w/ .63 ar
equal length manifold
3in dp
msd digital 6 plus w/cap and coil
450cc dsm injectors
... a few other mods that i cant think of.
I run i bar daily and 20 plus psi at the track and i want to add a direct port 50 shot soon.
....i want to be able to tune the system myself with the help of a wb o2, and a rom editor. what exactly would i need, what would be the best system for me, and what would be the approximate costs?

Hondata would work fine, and is the least expansive, but tuning yourself is a pain having hook up the emulator and supply AC power to it. I'm using the AEM EMS now and wasn't having much luck with it till today, I tried out a new base map, and with minimal adjustments the car is driving damn near perfectly.
I belive you can add a switch to it to change between a low and high boost target, assuming you are using it as your boost controller (which it can do much better than any stand alone boost controller). It can also control your NOS engagement, including taking out or adding extra fuel. And automapping works very well with a wideband. I paid $1100 for it when it first came out, I think the price went up since then. Hondata can probably be had for close to half that (at least used, depending on options).

convert to obd1, and run a p28-hondata system. I think thats your best bet. While the AEM is kick ***, its harder to tune and has a bunch of features that most people would never use for a street car.
