Default just learned my SI used to be an HF....

its cool that sombody did the conversion, but i feel like ive been had. i must admit, fora stock crx its strong, likely due to the lightweight hf with the extra hp boost, but is there anything you guys think i should check to make sure this was done right? it appears they took two wrecked crx's on hf, one si, and mixed and matched ( i have the red pinstripe si seats too)

my HF came with two mirrors stock, so either it was an option to add the pass-side or the original owner put it on.

There are no wiring changes to go from the HF motor to the Si motor. Both are MPFI. The EGR valve wires won't go to anything on the Si motor, but that's it.

hey is your car salvaged? i saw some car shops in sac chop two civics in half and weld em together! it looks totally stock after they're done...maybe you should strip your interior and check your paint...usually its either in the middle of your car, if they'd chop and weld...be careful

If it's clipped, (two cut and welded) it should be done at a seam in the car. If it was a rear clip, there is a seam right in front of the rear seat area where your feet would go (I know its a rex with no rear seat, but you know what I mean). If it was just an hf clip put on an Si, who cares. The cars are virtually the same with the exception of options. It's not like the HF has a different base chassis. Don't sweat it!

Is it just a glass panel, or is it a metal panel that pops up and slides back?

The metal panel is the one that came stock on the Si.

I've seen lots of DX's and HF's with "sunroofs" that are just clear glass that pop up and lock but don't slide. You can get those at JC Whitney.

hell yeah, I wish I had a sunroof, especially in the summer, since I have no A/C.
that is the main reason I am selling my rex and getting a GSR or SH. I want a sunroof n A/C.

the sunroof is one of my fav features of the Si..at least the CRX one is Metal which is lighter than glass ...I have seen a few dx's with a sliding glass roof..imagine the cost of that...Does you crx hf/si have the si door panels as well?
