I just bought a 96 black hatch, and am looking to get an exaust system for it. I dont have a ton of money, so what would be a good system at a decent price?
I made my own with mandrel U bends I got from Summit Racing. I used a smooth centered glasspack(thrush) as a resonator and a strait through muffler (hooker). It turned out good, next time I'm making all stainless.
Cost like $100

Back in the day, when I drove around in a '93 Accord, I got an N1 universal muff, Banzai sports premuffler, and went to a well known shop to get aluminized mandrel piping...it ended up costing me only a little bit under what a full cat-back exaust system would cost. If I could, I would of gotten the full cat-back system...
but I guess now-a-days its significantly cheaper to do the custom route.
just in case you wanna know, Univ. N1 - $200, Banzai premuff - $60? not sure, and custom 2.25 mandrel piping and installation -$180.....so $440...but concidering the brands I used, I guess thats an OK price..I dont know...
