cheap brake upgrade
My Accord is going to be pushing about 235 at the wheels soon and i think it's time to upgrade my brake system. What is the cheapest upgrade that I can do that will accomodate the power I'll be pushing?
get a good set of pads............ http://www.cobaltfriction.com
you need to explain this a little further:
How do you know you are going to be pushing 235 at the wheels?
What do you need the pads for? Auto-x? HPDE? Wheel to wheel? Drag?
Do you wanna know the car is gonna stop or make the car stop faster?

you can pick up an OE brake kit for $400 or so, little larger disc and pads, but it uses the stock calipers. It comes with brackets to moved the caliper out to fit the larger rotor. Or you could go with some wilwood 6 pot monsters with 13" rotors :D
and and for the guy that said v6 brakes, don't.. they suck.

Steel Braided lines- around 100-150 depending on brand...
Pads- 40+ depending on stopping power
V6 or Legend Calipers
Good Cast Drilled or blank rotors (Cast drilled is molded with the holes in place, they arent drilled blanks so they maintain strength)

#1) Better Tires
#2) Stickier Tires
#3) Better Tires
For brake parts, go w/ Accord wagon blank rotors, 11.1", use a v6/wagon bracket and caliper. Fairly cheap. I'm willing to bet AEM's 12 or is it 13" rotors w/ stock calipers arent gonna be too diff than 11.1" stock rotors and larger pads (av6/wagon uses larger pads than the I4)... plus they'd be cheaper, wont look so tacky, and fit under 15" wheels.
i'm more interested in what youre doing to know youre gonna have 235hp to the wheels. you have an H22. what else? to make 235 you need more than nitrous. just cause its a 75 shot doesnt mean it gives 75hp. maybe i'm wrong with what youre doing. so please clarify

H22 TURBO
H22 turbo with 235hp to the wheels? thats pretty weak. i am making that with my F23 stock internals
Hope your H22 is built, because those dont tend to last long under boost.
OK, guys, leave him alone, he ask a question he could have search, but we all do stuff like that.
ok, i would do the following to know you CAN brake and to brake a lil more than right now.
-Accord V6/wagon front brake upgrade.
-Rear discs if you don't have them.
-Dot 5 brake fluid (or some sort of high boiling point brake fluid)
-Stickier tires, like stated above (Something with a treadwear of around 200-300 with the letters A A would be nice)
-Home depot tubing to make sure more air gets to the calipers.
-Better pads, semi-metalic would be my recommendation.
And to make sure your braking system can brake, you would need suspension and perhaps wider tires.
BTW: in case you are interested, there is a 4pot brake kid from fastbrakes for our cars, i think the price was around 500$, but i'm not sure
