fiberglass hood worth it?
im in the market for a lightweight hood, i was considering a carbon fiber hood for my EG, but i dont want any attention to my car, so ill stick with the fiberglass. but ive heard that fiberglass aint really a good hood for a car, i dont care if its good, the only thing im aiming for is 1) price, cheapest possible 2) quality, looking to install the hood and forget about it. 3) attention, my car is white, and i want a white hood to look stock.
anyone got some info, or places where i can get more info, please let me know

If you are only looking for wait reductions, I
would try to shed some pounds without spending
any money. There are plenty of things you could
do to loose the wheight.

i got a 93 cx, its light enough already, just lookin to reduce more weight with light weigh hood because its the only easily changable part that weighs alot.
Yeah, fiber glass isn't the best for hoods. There is a lot of heat and vibrations from the engine bay, plus the added stresses from opening and closing. Not to say you couldn't get a fiberglass hood that was strong enough, but ypu would need to be careful with it. I would reccomend a CF hood and just paint it white if you want to keep the bling factor down.
