4th gen sedan exhaust ?'s
well i am parting out my hatch and i have a thermal R&D cat back on it. my buddy has a 4th gen sedan and im pretty sure it will fit if we cut the cat flane off, cut the b-pipe and weld the cat flange back on. am i correct? do you think any modification will have to be made to the rear section?
If im not mistaken the tip outlet will be too short. Ive been told that the difference in the rear section of a hatch and sedan is 11", meaning the sedan is 11" longer after the rear wheel well due to the trunk. I think the only problem posed would be that after it exits the muffler and makes the bend to the rear bumper it will be too short. The tip will sit way too far in. Other than that i think its all the same from the cat to the bend over the lower control arm.
thermal makes a cat back for the sedan but he wants mine cause its cheaper to buy this off me and modify it.
so the b-pipe is OK but the rear section will be to short? will the tip sit behind the bumper?

I can understand how he does'nt want to pay for a new Thermal system for his sedan. I looked into it and its way too much for me right now. If he uses a system from a HB the tip will sit way in from the bumper. Just for the fact that the sedan is longer because of the trunk.
I have a 89 LX 4dr and the exhaust will fit if you cut it and reweld it. I believe it has to be done right after the cat. my friend had a Brospeed on his CRX
