Default Some Track Footage . . .

A friend of mine came out to one of our track days and took a ride with me in the prelude. He brought his camcorder to tape it (he is doing the commentating...) and was even nice enough to let me put the footage up on his web site. So here are the first two laps of an open track session at Sandia raceway:

Caution: this file is 15M and requires the latest MicroSuck media player to view. If posting this for you guys messes up his site I'll have to take down the footage, so please don't abuse the link...

OMG... I would have thrown him out. That was the most annoying bit of commentary I have EVER listened to. I bet you were a little annoyed too seeing as you didn't say much.... probably biting your tongue. Looks like you had fun though!!

I'm actually glad he was saying something, at least that way I knew he was having a good time. First time I took my dad out, he was really quiet until he said he said he'd had enough. I guess I scared him some, or maybe the G forces were uncomfortable for him. Some people really don't like coming out of a corner next to a wall. Understandable. I thought his commentary was good for the video too, otherwise might be a little boring? Anyway, I'm glad he came out to the track and had a good time. Maybe he'll bring his fiat out next time. On tv they never show in-car footage for very long, and when they do they're always talking over the engine/car noises. On the rally cars, I'd really like to hear what the navigator guy is saying to the driver.
