Default Complains about KingMotor's service

Please send email to madmugencustomer@yahoo.com if you were "fortunate" enough to get involved in this with Mugen's product due to King. I'm consolidating all "complains" and have my friend translate it for Mugen Japan. This friend races with Mugen Japan, Toda and Endless Japan and he's willing to help me out. I think he will be able to have some pull if I get enough complains to him. I think we all have sit too quiet for too long regarding King's service and with the kind of money we're spending, this shouldn't happen so often like this. I know my name will probably get taken off of the board for doing this to King, but I'm doing this because I see justification has to done here. I've had 3 incidents with King in the past short 6 months (nothing major, just small parts for the car) and I can't stand this quietly anymore. So if you have any misfortune with King, please feel free to email me. I don't need your real name but just what happened so I can forward the info to Mugen Japan and they can see what a "good" job King is doing here. Both consumers and distributors are welcome. thanks.

1. Let me begin by saying that I am sorry that you have trouble with KMS.

2. My experiences with Scott Zelner at KMS are positive. I have done business with KMS since the late 70's and have found that Scott has done a tremendous job with the business in the past five years.

3. You do not give any specifics as to what your complaint is. If it is with Mugen pieces you may find that much of your problem lies with Mugen LTD and not KMS (except for the domino effect.) Therefore you will be ignored on the basis of their supply and demand problems and alienate KMS at the same time.

4. You do noy say if you have voiced your complaints to Scott Zelner and/or what his response is/was.

5. It is unlikely that your "friend" races with Mugen in any way. If he does that makes him a "Professional Racer/Crew/Owner" and professional racers do not get involved in product disputes that do not concern their team. (If they want to continue to race.)

6. If you are not willing to give your full name and nature of complaint no ligitimate business or businessman will give your grieveance the time of day. So your declaration ("you do not need to give your real name") is bad advice.

7. There are many satisfied KMS customers (of which I have many). There are some un-satisfied KMS customers. I have found that many unsatisfied customers that come into my shop often have never confronted the business that they are un-happy with. Often they will be mad a company like KMS/Honda/Acura/Wiesco when they bought the product from a vendor and the vendor is at fault and then "lies" to them and puts the blame on the supplier. Did you purchase your parts directly from KMS? Have you talked to Scott Zelner about your problems. What is the nature of your problems "nothing major" according to you. Share the story with us in detail but only if you have given Scott Zelner the oppotunity to correct any problem you may have.

In conclusion, First and foremost Scott Zelner is a personal friend of mine. Additionally, I purchase more from him than most. I know he is trying to acommodate his customers properly. I do not believe he will intentionally defraud anyone. If he has done so you need to convince others by giving specifics, not just vague accusations intended to vent your frustrations with what you percieve or have experienecd with bad service from KMS. Remember, the fact that you give no ligitimate location of residence, no personal e-mail, no acuurate personal information, a yahoo e-mail for info instead of your e-mail, makes "you" the suspect one. If you can not stand-up and be counted as who you are then you have no place or right to complain about anyone or anything. While I am not 100 years old (whats up with that) I am almost half that age. I fought in a war as a United States Marine so you could voice your opinion without reprisal. Be a man, tell us who you are, what your complaint is, what KMS's response was. If you can not do this than you should not complain.

I have to agree. Without more detail, your story sounds sketchy at best.

Well, to weigh in with my thoughts: specifics always help, and so they should be cited for best credibility.
However, to take a little shot at "the other side", perhaps friends of 20+ years standing may get a little different attention than other newbies, etc.

I always take the position that you vote with your feet (or your money), so go elsewhere if you do not like their service.

Personally, I forego the joys of Mugen because their performance for value is not that good. If it were just performance comparos they come off well, but one can get so many other quality parts in many instances, at much more affordable prices....

Red Civic T,

Many of my customers are people who traded with KMS before coming to me. All ut one of these customers have been satisfied.

The one that complained, whines about everything, especially how broke he is. But oddly enough he manages to go to the islands, south america, diving, racing, Donzi conventions etc, etc, many times through-out the year. He compains about how much I charge yet I maintain his race car(Honda), maintain his street car (Honda), his vintage Donzi speed boat (302 GT-40) etc. etc. and I virtually have one of his toys here al the time. So much for his complaints. I tried to find him a wife but he found something wrong with Cindy Crawford.

While some may think I am biased and I probably am since I have been in this Honda game longer than anyone besides Oscar Jackson, founder of Jackson Racing and Jim Dentici founder of KMS it still does not change the facts. As witnessed by the responses on Type R KMS has many satisfied customers.

You are correct. There are many parts available that perform well at a ower cost. Ibelieve that Mugen has the best quality, but many of the aftermarket mahufacturers have products that are of exceptional quality. My dis-appointment comes in when none of these products ofer the kind of results advertised by the manufacturer of the magazines that test and promote them. The only product I have tested in all my years involved in Honda performance that actually gave as good or better results as advertised is an oil/lubricant/fuel product. That product is Redline Lubricants.

Please forgive the type'os it is late and I am old.

God Bless,

Semper Fi,

Angelo

yea, I hear you... Hey, can you find me another Cindy Crawford or Jennifer Lopez?

You are right about the magazines, though. I learn a lot from going to the track and seeing people run. Looking and learning, you kind of see what goes together.

I guess I get kind of crazy when Spoon or somebody charges $490 for some cam gears that have no apparent advantage over, say Skunk2 Cam Gears ( I won't speak for other Skunk2 stuff) I voted with my $$ and got the Skunkies for $129 new.

But, damn, I would like Mugen stuff if price were no object, and never was said they do not have quality parts for sale.

As a sideline, and I know this is off the topic, but I just love to see low buck efforts that are well engineered knock out expensive "Mama's Boy" cars.....

Actually if you think about it the price of the parts and shipping is almost identicle if you went to buy it in japan. From my conversations with king at the sema show and on the phone have shown nothing but the greatest customer care for there customers.Either way this post should be closed.
