Whats the deal with pyramid, pyle, and legacy lcd screens on ebay? Hows the quality? I see contrast controls, but can you adjust the birghtness?

You get what you pay for in most instances, and I believe this is one of those instances.

 

Thats what Im guessing but Im looking for impressions of those with first hand experience.

 

The quality is not as good between a Kenwood lcd and an Audiovox one I've seen in a friends car, most of the time you get what you pay for

 

Invader zim rocks......Anyway i concur. The market is filled with crap units
and plenty of people that buy them ( who really don't know any better)
I have powered up some off brand/no name moniters only to have big black
spots ( basically burned out pixels...a lot of them) in most of the screens..much
to the shock of the customer. Best advice...if you wanted to buy an off brand buy
it sight seen better yet stick with a name you trust.

 

well its all about the warrenty that they have... the only screen i kno of that i saw better quality is eclipse and rosen... some of you prolly dont kno what rosen is but they are the first company to put TV being mobile such as LCD's in AIRplanes...and the difference is instead of a single layer lcd the eclipse and rosen comes with 3 layers more layers = crisp quality..

 

"pyramid, pyle, and legacy lcd screens on ebay? Hows the quality?" a BIG ! as stated earlier, you definately get what you pay for. if you are shopping for cheap video, make sure you see the picture quality and make sure the unit has the inputs you need to make them work before buying.

 

i have a 7.2" legacy lcd, it looks just fine.... $129 beats paying $450 for a "name you can trust"

I sold Audiovox units for 3 years at my previous job and I've been a believer in their product ever since I compared them to more expensive models, and the Voxes blew them out of the water!
None of my costomers had any complaints and everyone was happy. Absolutely NO warranty problems what so ever. I got a great deal on a few of the Audiovox 6.5" flip down lcd tv consoles so I jumped on em. I got 3. One went into my Nissan HardBody truck which I showed for 2 years. I played the tv almost every day to show it off as a demo and to the day I sold my truck, the tv worked great!
The second one went into my 5th gen hatch. Same thing. No probs! The tv went with the car.
The 3rd one is sitting in my bedroom waiting to be installed.
Since I'm lacking room in my 4th gen hb, there is no way I'm going to put it in, so it's up for grabs!!!

I'll post it up in the classifides threads for everyone to check out!
The pic in the thread is what it looks like but is not the actual one.

Let me know if I can be of any more help or if you are interested in the tv.

Audiovox is not a no named company.....they have been doing in car video since
the custom van craze of the 70's
