Going to need a new tranny for my b18c1 swap, good thing I got my swap with a warrenty.

The shop is going to get me a new tranny for my swap and said it will be either a Gsr tranny or a 99-00 Si tranny.

I am leaning towards getting the Si tranny, isnt that better because of the gear ratios?

Any advice on which one to get is helpful

Come on someone has some info on this.

 

the b16 tranny will be quicker of the line , but the gsr tranny is indestructable you can beat on that , i would ride a gsr tranny on a gsr swap ,thats my opinion . i hope it can be helpfull..

Id pick the B16 tranny just beacuse of it's shorter gear ratios. You might want to look into a LSD whle youve got it out. Or even tell them that you'll put up the extra money for the ITR tranny (got a LSD I believe)

 

Yeah ITR trannies do have LSD but really not looking to pay alot for that tranny, so I am going to get the one they give cause its under warrenty.

But should the shorter gear ratios really be better, so that I should get the Si tranny over the Gsr one
