Default Painting lights today, some quick questions.

Here's where I got the idea:

My question is, will this affect the quality of the lights? Will they still project as well as they do now?

yeah i just did mine last week... i love it, and it doesnt affect your lighting in any way... just make sure after everything is sealed to put another bead of silicone on the outer edge just in case...

actually makes sure you dont paint anything thats reflects the lights forward.. you will be able to tell.. when you take it apart it becomes cover, back and cover.. you paint the cover and mask off the blinker sidethat reflcts is forward.. thats what i did and it works wonders.. and also just stick the headlights in the oven at the LOWEST setting for a few minutes and take it out and prey it apart

make sure you don't touch any of the parts you are painting. they leave marks.

make sure you paint only the back cover of what ever color you want ( i prefer the semi final black spray paint from krylon? )

ahh. btw i use heat guns. i never used ovens before. heat guns work ok too.

Well, I did it. I wish I had a digi cam so I could post some pics cuz they look great! Didn't have any troube doin' it. I never realized how quick and easy it is to remove the bumper, it was cake. Put them in the oven for about 5 minutes at 225. They came apart fairly easy. Total time, about 3 1/2 hours, I took my time painting and letting each coat dry.
