got an idea but its probably been done before.......
has anyone tried to modify the stock shocks to work with coilovers by shortening the shiny piston rod? it seems like if the rod was half if its length it would work with coilovers wihout blowing or leaking fluid,
your thoughts ideas and comments are all welcome i want to know if im onto a decent idea

unless the coils are progressive expect a shitty ride..a stiff ride gets tiring after an hr on the interstate

FYI, my APEXi Worldsport "Coilovers" (Dampers) ride like a dream in my 99 Hatch.

My Apexi worlsport's also ride very nicely. I think it has a lot to do with the setup though, because I know two friends who bought the same ones a while back and couldn't get them to ride smoothly.

I just got back from Brazil this week (6 weeks vacation in the beautiful wheater). Over there, a lot of people do that to their cars. It doesn't ride that bad. A couples of my friends do that to use with lowering springs. It's doesn't cost that much over there (like $40-50 for all four). Over here it probalby wouldn't be worth the money.
