Default Wooohoo. I might be getting head!!!

LOL. Now that I have your attention...... I might be getting an H22 head from my friend that has all new valves, dual valve springs, titanium retainters, crower stage 2 camshafts, and skunk2 adj. cam gears.

Now, my dilemna is...should I buy a JDM H22 swap...swap the heads and then have it installed in my 92 Lude Si...or should I use this head to build an H23 VTEC motor...and use my H23 tranny??? I would also like to build up the bottomend a little since I am going to be using my car for autoXs and track events. Keep in mind...money IS an object.

Please let me know what you would do and what upgrades you would do if you were going to use my car for what I am going to...at the sametime keeping in mind $$$.
Thanks

lol, nice topic!

Throw the head on an H22, since that's the motor the head was made for. The H23 must be fully built to make power w/ that head, and even then it's not gonna last long. W/ the H22, though, you can take advantage of those cams and springs and make it rev higher.

Sorry for digging up my old thread but I was wondering if a 98 Prelude Type SH H22 head is a direct bolt on for a JDM H22 block?? Will I run into any difficulties putting this Type SH head on the JDM block??

Do the head. But get some new camshafts. Dont go with crower! Just look at their dyno sheets and u will see what I mean.

I know the SH engine is different in ways, but not too sure bout the head specifically.
