bald falkens+snow!!!!!!!
eh, not fun. interesting trying to drive a car that won't start moving, won't stop moving, and won't change direction.
maybe spring will come some day.....
nate-who's digging out the shovels. looks like the first event may require a bit of work to have something to drive on that isn't frozen water.

Yeah, any kind of hp rubber aint no fun in the snow. I remember years ago getting caught in a freak may snow storm on almost bald 305-40-16 Mickey Thomson street drag tires on a pony car...
Another time, a late april storm with sorta worn 225-45-16 A520s on a Prelude was almost as bad...

I had the same problem. I couldn't even move in my friends flat driveway in Tahoe. I got some snow tires on stellies and now it rips. There's just something surreal about passing an expedition in the snow, in a turn, with my friends waving to the suv driver. The weekend warriors look at each other an say "did I just get passed by an integra?" Four wheel drifts are sooo fun.
Snow is the reason I traded 15" GSR wheels and bald tires
for 13" VXs with new all-seasons. The occassional dry road
lets me explore the light wheel thing. So far I like the VXs better.

Just mounted my brand new Azenis Friday...
After messing around in a couple large parking lots...the white stuff started to fall.
I live @ the bottom of a hill that makes the "corkscrew" @LS look lame.
I had to do some interesting controlled sliding to make it into my driveway.
Azenis+snow= You can drift too! Even @ 20mph.

snow + Azenis suck! After this blizzard, I didn't even want to attempt driving in this weather. I know how bad it gets after hitting a couple of curbs.
solo x thanks for your recent help.
I think the weight of these cars alone makes them sketchy in snow. Even my 185 potenza winter tires barely cut it.

i don't run Azenis but i do run on the Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 which isn't as bad as the Azenis and i couldn't get any traction in the snow. It's best to have a set of winters.
hmmmm........4-8 inches of the white stuff predicted for today. my front tires have exactly 1/32 of tread depth, the rears have, well, you can see the tread pattern, but it ain't quite measureable. this should be fun.....
nate-who thinks he put on the summer tires just a _touch_ too early. gives me an excuse to leave work early though!

so i went home early. heard on the radio something about a 100+ cars up on 95 bangin into each other. great. i don't like being able to spin the tires in 5th gear while rolling at 5mph, without popping the clutch.
WINTER SUX! WHY WON'T IT BE SPRING ALREADY!!!!
nate-white coats? why is everything white?!?!? padded walls...... i like hugging myself...... oooh, and the happy pills!
