H22 Engine Swap
Why even waste the space to tell me a chevy 350 if you don't actually have a good idea for me then just don't respond at all.
To anyone who does have a good idea for me or reason I should go with the H22 or another engine then thank you very much for your help and input

yeah its been done way too expensive and not even worth the time and effort to do it. Maybe if I really wanted to take it to the track but I think you would probably agree that for a weekend warrior and a weekly driver it would not be worth the gas or the money. That was brought up with my mechanics and they said that out of all of the engines I could go with that was probably the worst way to go in the long run. I would rather stick with a Honda engine or even an Acura but I'm not going to take a chevy engine and put it in an import car I would rather be able to play with the honda motors than to not have any room left to do anything under the hood
I wasn't trying to be mean about it its just that I would think that on a honda page someone would give me a better idea than a chevy 350. Or at least if they were going to offer that suggestion tell me why they think that that is as you said the "best" swap for my car. From what I've been told it would kill gas and wouldn't hold up near as long as a honda engine would. You can correct me if I'm wrong I'm not an "expert" but that is what I have been told.

A Chevy 350 WOULD be a good swap to consider, provided you have the money.
now, ill help you as much as i can, but if you want to put down all my ideas, then i will be done with you.
if you wanted to stay with a honda engine then go with the h22a or h23a.
and one more thing, this topic has been covered many, many times, if you'd learn to search you could find something. the 350 idea was not a flame, just a suggestion.

This whole thread is a waste of space..... If you dont know that the H22 would be first choice and the H23 would of course be second from just magazine articles as well as word of mouth.... you should have hit the SEARCH button.
Why would anyone even consider a 350 in any Honda. I agree with what you are saying about people not offering you any help and making a dumb post. I myself thought it was a flame also. If you offer a wayout idea then explain it a little so it doesnt look like a flame. I would go with the H22 in your accord. It seems like an easy swap, you will increase your power, there is tons of aftermarket support, and you will keep the Honda reliability. The best advice I can give you is that search is your friend around here. Probably the best friend you will have on this board.

it seems to me that not a whole lotta ppl did this:
H23 (relatively cheap) then turbocharging that!
even the F23 or F22 whatever with vtec! then turbo that! :>
of course, its all relative depending on the funds u wanna invest in all this!

Okay my reply would have to be uhhhmmm. Would I benefit from a h22a swap for my accord with a h22a limited slip differential if i were to drag race overrall like on a highway or on the street? would i really get the jump on someone if i had nitrous included on the whole package in what ways would it benefit me please really any suggestions would suffice I have a 92 accord you can see it on arony.com
ok, pound for pound, bang for the buck, substantial amount of power?
H23 (1500-2000$ US) depending on condition, plus a turbo kit (2000-2500$)i would stay a total of 4500-5000 for both of those! someone on this accord forum is doing that, and hes pushing like almost 400whp!!! but his is fully built!
an H22a, again, depending on condition of motor, can run u like almost 3000$ for a mere 200hp of course, no bolt ons either!!
F22 with a turbo would of course be cheapest, but not as much power as an H23 with a turbo kit

sorry, the suggestions above are that if u only want honda engines!
but all in all, the chevy is the best bet! and hey!! u wanted drag to! theres not a single engine out there, not even steve papadakis can over power!!

ive just found these guys, they have great prices on their h22's, especially the auto tranny units, but im probably the only one who wants that.
Kasper: think about a H22A, auto tranny, Level 10 PTS rebuild, and turbo+nitrous.
