I was driving yesterday in my Accord EX V6 2003 when I noticed the parking brake was on. I had released it but somehow I must have not pushed it down all the way to the bottom since it was up one notch out of the total notches to the top. At most I had driven a mile with it like this. Is my accord fine or is there any damage to it? I know on my van that the smell of burning brakes and squeekiness of braking happen IMMEDIATELY after the incident (accidentally drove to another city with the parking brake on that time) but I don't hear/see/feel any difference in the accord. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

it should be ok, but I would not make a habit of driving with it on... you will end up replacing the brake and/ or cable from once too much.

seeing as how you only drove a sec with it bearly up it should be fine.

 

I drove home one time with the e-brake on, i drive about 30 min before i notice my dumba_s forgot to release it. my car smell like burning plastic for a week.
No biggie tho' ebrake works fine..
