Anything to inhibit jumping codes?
I cannot pull a code out of my civic! I have tried jumping it twice and blown two fuses in the process of trying so many times. Is there anything that can inhibit the car from signalling the codes (i.e. electrical tampering?) Just for the record, I have pulled codes out of many hondas before, but never mine because I've never needed to. Does anyone have any theories? Oh, and i'm pretty sure that the CEL is from an O2 sensor, I think that my header's gasket is leaking downstream and the upstream O2 sensor has been faulting out. It is a 2000- civic. Cheers.

not really sure if there are anything inhibiting you from pulling the code. make sure that you're using metal and make sure that its contacting the right spots on the 2 connectors
i'm willing to bet you are not getting a good connection when you are trying to jump for the ecu codes.....use a paperclip or just cut the wires, splice them together and the CEL should blink....
well, when I've tried jumping it, I've blown 2 fuses from making a connection with the clip which tells me that A) I've got a metal clip, and B) I am hitting the electrical current. I touch the first notch clossest to the floor to the fourth notch up on the opposite side correct, that is how I've done it in the Accords, the only thing that I can think is that maybe I am not hitting the right holes in the female plug, but that wouldn't make sence...
