how do you scan/reset the srs light in a 97 prelude...

like the topic says, i have found posts on here for a civic but not a prelude.. the light came on in my brothers car after he was working on it for about a month but he didnt do anything that would interfear with the srs system. help pls!!

1: uncrew trim peice screws around cluter trim
2: remove guage cluster trim
3: remove screws for guage cluster
4: remove guage cluster
5: unplug guage cluster
6: pull out SRS lightbulb
7: repeat steps 1-5 in reverse

LOL.. that probably works better than completing the curcuit under the dash for that SRS reset huh?? i tried that crap like 10 times and it never worked... I have the eternal SRS light on my 5th gen.. keep saying i am gonna take it in and never get around to it..

I manged the SRS reset a little while back using a paperclip - took me 5 or 6 tries though. If you search around, you can find a scan of the Helms page with directions on how to do it.

ok ok... i tried to explain to my brother (turbolude97) how to do it, but he posted this under my name anyhow. THe only thing I think he couldn't do until recently was find the plug. Pulling the code is easy, which I told him after posting this... just do the same steps as you would to check the CEL and ABS lights
