front subframe?
can someone tell me alittle about the front subframe on an eg chasis ( i drive a coupe), but i was wondering, someone told me my front subframe could be bent and be the reason my front passenger side sits higher than the driver side, and it didnt before i hit a curb on the front pass side??
I would look at your control arms before the subframe, but if you hit a curb hard enough it could be both. I don't know if it would make one side sit higher than the other but it could be possible. Have you repleced anything after hitting the curb? Take your car to the alignment shop and look at the camber and caster, this will give you an idea of where it's bent.
everything on the passenger side has been replaced except for upper control arm, alignment shop put everything on and lined me up. i also had an ingalls front kit installed as well, they said everything was sat to 0, but the pass still sits higher for some strange reason? maybe its camber just needs readjusted?
almost every 92-95 civic has the same problem, including mine, i dont think it has anyhing to do w/ it being bent, i think it is just from thousands of miles with the driver sitting on the left side, it wears the shocks or something. i put on a set of teins and it got alot better, then i just set my driverside alittle higher than the passenger side. if you do find out that something is wrong definately post and let everyone know, i know there are alot of peopel that have the same problem, and it always seems to be the drivers side being lower and not vice versa.
also, if you said the shop replaced your front pass side suspension, does that mean that the passenger side got a new spring and shock and the driverside is still using the original? there has to be some kind of spring sagging by now on the driverside.
