I was loooking at painting my lude viper blue too, i love that color.
I was asking about it at a shop by me and to paint the door jams and everything they were lookin at like 2500-3000 supposedly
thats all the help i can give you
im sure if you know someone and tell them you will do all the prepping for them they might lower it, but the paint cost is a big part of it.
as for the white emblems and stuff, yeah it does offset the blue real nice, but still kinda ricy, in the long run it'll probably look better sleek and clean

That blue looks real good with carbon fiber pieces too
have you gotten an estimate at all?
I was thinking about doing it but then decided to work on performance first so my car didnt look hot and then it didnt go anywhere you know? and the paint job was as much as a turbo.......

 

The blue is fine, but shaving the car is pointless. You can never go to the track if you do.

 

LOL.... I find that to be my best mod.... I think it looks awesome and still fairly clean...
