I Deleted the "What You Think of Your B16A" Thread...
Too much infighting and bullshit going on in that thread, and pretty much any other thread comparing the various motors here on the EG+Forum.
I'm going to make a general rule here, and if you don't like it tough ****:
If any more "motor vs. motor" threads come about you had better NOT post anything about them unless you've had DIRECT EXPERIENCE with the motor you're discussing.
This means none of this "I saw a B16A running 17's at the strip one time" or any of that crap.
I'm tired of ignorant fucktards flooding this forum with "information" when they have no hands-on experience with what they're discussing.
What do I mean by "direct experience?"
You had better have:
1. Owned one
2. Have a best friend with one and drive it FREQUENTLY and know every last detail about it.
3. Work at a shop and have hard numbers to back up your claims
4. Work at a dyno and have hard numbers to back up your claims
I'd also like to add that dyno charts, 1/4 mile times (relatively speaking), and divulging every last detail of the set-up being discussed means much more to us than "my boy's car is fast y0" or whatever.
And don't you dare try and pull some "I pulled on every X-motor that I've ever ran..." because you'd better know exactly what you "raced" or I'll call your *** out on it. I'm not for street racing because it's gay and unorganized, and people sandbag, lie about set-ups, etc. so really that **** doesn't count here unless you really know the guy/girl and it was understood that you were both giving it your all.
I have owned various set-ups and I've also got a ,ot of friends with a lot of set-ups and sometimes on occasion we'd "drop" or "roll on" on the streets to an extent just to see how each set-up/car fares at different rpm and mph - this is different from "I always school them *****s at the races y0!" because everything is out in the open about the various cars. I'm not endorsing street racing, but I'm saying that I've been known to take two of my hybrids out to compare the motors by flooring it at certain rpm to compare results.
If you regurgitate **** that you read or "heard" I'll dock your *** in a heartbeat. I'm sick and tired of reading this gangsta bullshit ghetto wars in various threads here, and it usually doesn't get much wose than a good old "B16A vs. B18C" thread.
The main focus of this MB is for tech and help.
I don't like the B16A vs. B18C, or SOHC vs. DOHC threads on the whole because they always end up in heated arguments because we are all passionate about our own set-ups.
...but I won't ban them from discussion because that's why we're here in the first place. What better way to get ideas and impressions rather than here from people who own or have owned certain set-ups being discussed?
Let's try to be more respectful in the future. Needles flaming will result in % points lost or banning, or complete and total deletion of your account and your I.P addy being banned as well if you oush it way too far.
Are we all clear now?

how can you argue if you dont have the FACTS to back up what you're saying ?
chill man , all Tom is doing is trying to stop misinformation from being spread and a bunch of people arguing over something they dont know ANYTHING about.
Have you read any of those threads bro? They are completely BS and only serve to **** people off. Arguing has its place and all, but only if its structured and informative.. im sure he isnt gonna shut down every thread where people disagree on stuff.

And that "post what you think of your B16A" thread was absolutely horrible. about 75% of the people jumped on ANYONE that actually enjoys their B16A, basically telling them "You can't enjoy your motor because I don't like that motor...who cares if you do or not!" Everyone has their own opinions, but that thread in particular got way out of hand.

good rule bro
,
I had considered posting in the last thread however the e-thugga's and stunnas took over yO!.
will be completly honest when I say does it really mater what motor you have. personaly as long as there is a "B" on the black and boost flow'n through the head I could careless if it was a 1.6, 1.8 or a 2.0.
Maybe i will start posting more sense it sounds like we are getting back to the "tech" in "honda-tech"
