My 4WS light came on so I checked the codes. Some of the codes say that I need to replace my control unit. I don't want to have to do this because I am sure it is a lot of $$ But I reset my ECU and the 4WS light shut off and worked fine. I parked the car in a friends garage for several hours took the car for a drive and it was working fine with no light. Then I drove it home parked it in my driveway and this morning when I started driving I got the light again. Whenever I park the car outside I seem to get the problem but not when it is in a garage. Could this be the cold since it has been around 0degrees out. If anyone knows anything about this please let me know.

I have the same problem with mine. About every fifth time I start my car...the 4WS light comes on. It is annoying. The only way it goes away is if I let the car sit for a while.
Anyone know what's causing this??

 

Well mine i have to reset the ECU to get the light to go off. Once it comes on it will stay on untill I do.
