I got a new mast, but couldn't figure out how to get the old one out. I took the funky nut off, but couldn't get any further than that. The Helmes isn't very clear, but I thought I needed a special tool. I called the dealership and the guy said that the special tool is just to get the top nut off. He said you can do it with a screwdriver if you're careful, which is what I did.

What do I do after that??

You can do it carefully with the incorrect tools but watch not to mangle it.

Once you get that off... take the motor and mast out (behind the lining in the trunk).

It is not hard just use common sense and take your time... I changed 2 on my old lude... damn things kept bending.
