Some local guy gonna sell me his turbo set up for f23a1.
I know very little about force induction, can anyone point out
what else it need, beside the intercooler is missing.

anyway to check it?
He said everything in the picture is all I am getting..

I say just save yourself a headache and buy a turbo "kit."

Do more research before investing your money in a turbo kit.

Looks like junk to me.

You'd probably only be able to keep the turbo and it probably needs rebuilt.

I've been gathering info about DSM turbos, and the like. I had a similar thread to this. OEMaccord pointed me to TeamElusive on http://board.hondasociety.com. Apparently, he has a T25 turbo, the stock turbo in a 2G Eclipse, in his car. By the way, I thought you had a V6 Accord. I remember you saying that you planned on switching to 5 speed, something like that. After reading the title, I realized you would have to have an I4. If you had a V6, then you would have just gone right for the S/C.

I don't have money for the F-Max turbo kit either. I looked on eBay, and used one was $2100. This is why I'm researching about the DSM turbo. I can get DSM parts for some good prices. http://www.dsmtuners.com

that downpipe looks like a real hack-job

if you do get it and the turbo is in good condition (no shaft play etc..) i would get a downpipe mandrel bent and also some IC piping also.

$700 for all of that? Gheez. Seems like a good deal. That's about how much a turbo new is going to cost me. If it is all in working condition, I see nothing wrong. Also, do you know if it will fit your car? TeamElusive said that I would have to shave my block in order for the DSM turbo to fit.

I've got to see if I can get in touch with someone who knows a lot about turbos. I will need someone like that for my possible project anyway.

This is what I found out. When you go look at it, make sure there is no shaft play, no oil residue, and make sure that it spins.

I'll drive to his place and check it out tomorrow or sunday, still waiting for his reply.

The suggest of getting some real ic pipping and downpipe(and the upper piece, forgot what's it call) will be consider, thank for the heads up, i mean I'll do it step by step.

i dont think i would spend $500 for that pile of junk. if you want a turbo then dont cheap out. i have an FMAX kit on my F23 and the intercooler piping doesnt look anything like those pipes. you'll need at least $1000 more worth of stuff. the only thing i would use from that is the turbo. and you can get a new turbo on ebay for less than $700. i dont even see a flange for the wastegate to sit at. i dont see a bov, wastegate, intercooler, oil lines, downpipe is a piece of ****. what size turbo is that? i may see an internal wastegate which shows why i dont see a flange

yes that alone about 500 sounds right, but he's putting in the intercooler, FMU, injectors 450cc blue in also..for 750-800.

the kit looks decent...I cant really tell about the turbo since the pics arent that clear or that of a close up of the turbo...I hope you dont just plan on throwing the turbo on and running for awhile...I wouldnt put a turbo on my honda unless i was going to get tunned in 2 weeks or less...i have seen/experinced the problems with turbo's and they arent fun especially when you dont have $$ just sitting around...if you are statisfied with the kit, when u go look at it, buy it and let it sit in your room till you have more money to tune...good luck though...let us know how it turns out.
