Alright... 93 prelude here... I am looking for a paint job this summer... I found what I want, but do not know the color of the paint job or what exatcly it is... Theres pics below of my car, a viper blue prelude, the door close up of the car color I wnat, and then the whole shot so you actually see what it looks like... I am planning on shaving my hadles before I get it painted... I am pretty good w/ the fiberglass and body filler... Will I be able to do it on my own pretty easy with sanding preperation and all? Also, handles only or everything, although I kinda like the white H emblems... What'ya say? How much will this color run me ww/ similar quality? The shaving also just needs a good sand because they will finish sand the whole car right? Can anyone give me the color, rough estimate on price, and any opinions....

i liek the color. its definately a $1000+ paintjob.


i wouldnt shave handles if i were you. it will be more troubble than it's worth.

 

Complete color change here in CA runs $2000+. Most reputable shops here charge $2500+.

 

you cant shave your handles and expect fibre glass to hold up.
you should weld them

and like it was said above, shaving door handles is more trouble than needed

I have experience cause my car is shaved. I don't mind though because its a weekend cruiser and show car.

Found out I can't run at the tracks anymore


You should ALWAYS WELD HOLES!. Fiberglassing is for cheap *** foos and it will never hold up.
