Well ive finally got everything i need and the weather is finally cooperating so im going to start on the swap this Sat. Im putting a 92 LS into a 90 CRX dx...im keeping it obd1 but ive already had the wiring done(
to vtecrx...he did an awesome job on the wiring) so i dont have to worry about it. Do you guys have any suggestions to make this go by faster and a little smoother? Are there any sites that helped you guys out with the swap....like how-to sites? Thanks.
PS- How many quarts of MTF do i get?

the D trannies take 2 qts, i think the b's are the same, but someone else back me up on that.
#1 sugestion.... get backup transportation lined up for at least a week! there's always something that ends up slowing you down, no matter how well you plan things out. a perfect example of this is what I'm going through right now... https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=427602

use right amount oil in the tranny, get plenty of food( u will get ******* munchies all the time)
bring a camera and take pics and show us....
dont rush urself and make sure u doble check all the stuff
if u get codes, fix them there... or u will not fix them for a while.....
dont rush and push it..... let it run for a lil bit and make sure everything tis ok before testing the engine its strong or not

Well i went to the Acura place today to get some MTF and they were out....so i talked to a mechanic and he told me to get 5w-30 oil and its almost the exact same thing as MTF. Hes running it in his turboed prelude pushing 300hp so i guess its ok.
Thanks for all of the tips. My only problem now is that i might not be able to get a damn cherry picker(engine hoist). Ive read about putting the engine in from the bottom...do you guys know of any sites that has step by step instructions on this? I mightbe able to get the cherry picker around 1 in the afternoon so i might only have to take it out from the bottom.
Sorry to make this post long...but i have one more question. Does anyone know the torque specs for bolting the tranny to the block? I read in another post that it is 45-50 but that just seems too low. Thanks.

The only tip I can provide is that I heard that the LS sits a little bit higher than all B-series motors(someone correct me if i'm wrong on this one)so you might have to cut away some of the webbing under the hood where the cam gear cover is. Other than that, good luck, and let us know how it turns out!
On a side note- T minus 3 weeks and counting till my B16a swap begins!

Damn that was a sweet write up
Thanks for the heads up on that one.
So does anyone happen to know the torque specs for attaching the tranny to the block? Or how much did you tighten it? Thanks
