16" tires on del sol
OK, i currently have kumho 712's on my car in size 205/50/16 w/ h&r sports and agx's. These tires fit fine and dont rub at all. I have an oppurtunity to get a very good deal on some new tires. They are dunlop sumthins i dont remember and they are size 225/50/16. They are on my freinds prelude and they rub very bad on his car. Anyone know if tires this size will fit w/o rubbing on del sol?? They are alot fatter and that is the main difference. Personal experiences please.

225/50's are huge it would be the "Big Foot" del Sol.

Yes the 225/50 setup would definately be too much. They WILL rub terribly on your car and will make your gearing taller also. I would suggest a 205/45 setup on 16" wheels for a number of reasons. For one, they are identical to the diameter of the stock wheels/tires, I haven't seen anyone with this setup rub on del Sol/Civic, and they just look better (less donut look). Definately stay away from the 225's.
