Default Tips on what to do to a 88-91 Prelude SI??? Help me plz.

Hey whats up??? A freind of a freind of mine had just put his Prelude up for sale, all i know that it is a 88-91 Si, and its red, and it looks clean on the outside and its a manual. I dont really know all about preludes and what to do. I just know its 2.0 Liters and preludes have alot of torque. Soo..... what should i buy?

(consider that im still a senior in high school, and i have a part time job making $6.00 an hr.)

And also i thought $1000 was a good deal for the prelude, i looked at edmunds.com and they go for around $3000-$4000, so i think its a good deal.

I wont have the prelude for about another 3 weeks, until i get my paycheck. So hey, give me some tips!!! Sipo@yours.com

Alright Later

my brother has an 90 si 2.0 prelude , he painted the car white , cut the springs and installed new sport shocks. He also added 16" rims and a light exhust system.
He also make a home make ram air intake with a K&N Filter and some PVC piping from home depo that works really good. Try these mods , but u have to lower that car and put rims on it , its just the best thing to make that car look good believe me that car looks nice.

Paint the car either

White with alloy rims/black or crome ( bigger looks better but i know cash can be tight)

a nice Red with White painted rim or ally

or Black with white rims or ally/crome

painting the car white is the cheapest option over all it should be a bit over 2000 for the most.

My brother did all these under 3000 and got a prity good paint job and rust work done.

1000 is prity low , or the condition of the car
but its a good car, i have driven the car and tend to like it alot even though i have a 4th gen vtec.

replace the seals on the engine too valve cover and oil pan cover and check for compression..

Best of luck to u and your car , and Welcome to the Prelude community

1 ((( VERY IMPORTANT THING )))

change the timing belt on the engine , this can really **** up the car if u dont
and can lead to engine replacment. Believe me , a guy at the local prelude club went through it .

Well i see that some of the comments here are by jerks

: Drive it to the junk yerd being one of them

Here is a Tip , save up some money and put in an H22 or H23 , this car is light
and u will be taking 4th and 5th gens ,,, then they can take there cars to the junk yard....
