Where can i find a cheap ecu, and would a ecu from the first gen work on my car.

ANY help is greatly appreticated, i haven't started the car, i really need to see if the car starts.

Will the car start with my single cam civic ex ecu.
I want to check if the engine starts, can i plug in my 96 civic ex ecu and check ??

Will a ecu from b16A1 work.

you can try it should start with it ... but i remember the plugs are different give it a try doesnt hurt but im pretty sure it doesnt plug in

 

Only an ecu from 99-00 will work... without the aid of a conversion harness.

 

How would i know which ecu is which ??

 

try to stay with the same year try a 00 ex should work or a 99 ex

 

how much did you pay for it?

 

i'm going to call the local junk yards tomorrow.

But i have no clue on wirings.
how do you differenciate between the OBDI ecu and OBDII ecu for the civic si

 

dont pay more then 150 for the ecu if you gonna look for the Si that is

I never owned a dohc vtec motor. I had a 92 integra ls. Which was nice, but never
got the liberty to experience the vtec. I'm very anxious to get this car on the road.

I believe it is Electron Pearl Blue, but I could be wrong.
