$300 is pretty good for a tranny, especially from a junkyard. They all supposedly bolt up.

have him knock 10% off for your trouble and his B.S. or threaten to walk

Edit: 94up trannies are usually in good shape with higher miles; Honda started using a synthetic base in their "from factory" tranny lubricants with a similar action to synthetic MTL.

I have a 91 Accord Ex that might have a blown head gasket, as soon as i get it to the shop, i'll give you a heads up if you still need that tranny

f22, f23, h23, h22 tranny's can all bolt up to each other. its only the gearing that is different. Clutch assembly and flywheel is also the same.

h23 has a longer gear ratio similar to the F22. They say its better for the track. I personally would stick with the H22 tranny because you will get to VTEC faster. If you wanted to change the Gears of the H22 to be even more benifiting get a set of ATS final and first drive. you can IM exospeedamcrx for details and prices for any of the F and H series trannies.

If you run boost, go with the h23 tranny for the longer gears. if you go NA go with the h22 tranny

f22 has the longest gears of all of them...as for your original question, the tranny will bolt up fine...and also, the ex and lx/dx trannies are so similar that you wouldn't notice the difference...the f/d is slightly different, but not enough to make worlds of difference...
