does anyone know how to intsall lips...i got a mugen style one for my 02 ACCORD..and it looks as if i just drill holes and use the 3-5 bolts under the bumper...any other suggestions to make a tight fit...

if you have a coupe then you need to cut your lip to make it fit..it's not direct hit for 01-02 coupe.

run a search under my user name, prolly mixed in the old post.
it will have all the info you need.
I have a mugen knockoff abs lip too(02 coupe)

 

nevermind just saw your sig.
you will need to cut the inner/upper piece of the lip to fit.
they will tell you it will fit like a glove but trust me the cutting is require

 

yeah..do i cut on the sides...or what...and do i use the stock bolts and drill holes to match and just hook it up like that..???i did a search on your name..it was only for OEM lips...

 

I have the exact same lip you have...
your come with hardware or not?
mine didnt come with sh_t so i ran to home depot for
some nuts, washers, bolts and a stripe of drill metal.
the drilled metal is to make custom brakets.

you need to cut the upper piece to make it fit,
it did it with a skil jag saw.

 

you cant install it with stock screws and plugs, the mugen knock off hang like 2 inch below the stock bumper, no way for useing self tapping screw neither, you need to bend some bracket to suspend that lip.
My car is lowered 1.5 inch with eibach pro kit and the lip sometime scrap the **** out of me. the bracket took away alot of shock and scraping off my lip.
sound like you havent got a good look at your lip.

 

nope..i got no hardware neither
okay...so after i cut it...i have to drill from the top then...and the sides ( by the wheel well, attach on the sides of the bumper )...

after you did your install...could you see the bolts....could you show me your pics...and also...i might wanna just take the bumper off..so its easier for me...how many/where are bumper bolts...

i finally looked at the underside of the bumper...and does the top part of the lip flap over the bumper..or duz it go from underneath the bumper...

 

you dont need to drill hole on top of it..
There's many ways to do it and that is my way.

thanks for your help...i see now...i get it...so i trim the upper flap...and from there..it looks trickky...you said something about getting some brackets...do you have any suggestions on what i should buy..it looks trickky on how to get it to hang there...

i thought that flap went over the lower bumper..but it goes beneath it..okay...i got it...
