leave car as is, shitty street tires and all. Re-install stock intake (as best you can).

Do not stop, do not pass go, and deposit $200 (per day) to http://www.autocross.com/evolution

Run 6-8 events as is, along with the school, get a veteran/experienced autocrosser to mentor you, ride with you, take you for runs in his car, have him drive your car, etc.

At which time you will have a better idea of what car prep is like, what class you want to compete in and how much its going to cost.

The biggest improvement is in the Driver

ouch, point taken.

The "as best you can" was kind of low though.

How about this.

What suspension would make my car more fun to drive to an unexperienced honda lover?

Thanks again for the fast responses

How is this low? When i ripped the intake out of my integra i kicked the resonator halfway across the parking lot and havent seen it since

Koni Yellow Shocks, GC Sleeves, 350#/400# Eibach springs, get used to that then upgrade the rear sway bar to something bigger.

But if you want to learn how to drive this will hinder your learning process.

With all due respect, I think RJ summed it up pretty well...

The holy $$ trilogy of racing:

First - driver development
2nd - susspension development
3rd - engine development

funny how each stage in the trilogy gets exponetially more expensive.

i've been half-heartedly attempting to do an evo school. i missed my chance this year, so next year i'll have to put a little more effort into it. this year i'll be going to an evo school as a spectator. i'm hoping i'll be able to pick up tid bits of go fast know-how along the way.

If you don't anticipate being competitive right away, you might not even want to bother removing the intake. You can just run in STS with the intake, and keep an eye on your times. If you notice that you're starting to catch the guys in your stock class, then you can go to the effort of putting the intake so that you can run against them in stock.
