Leather seats...
Guys,
Looks like I've found another prelude to consider. It's a 2001 type SH 5spd. I'm seriously considering it just a few last things to check out first. I really wanted leather seats do any of the newer models come with leather? If so what do you think the odds of getting a pair are? How much would something like this run?
Thanks a lot,
Noel

In the US, the 97+ Honda Prelude was never offered with factory leather seats. The only ones that you will find with leather covers are ones that had dealer-installed leather kits. The dealers that offered these typically used the Catzkin leather kits installed by a local upholstery shop.

Thanks for the quick reply. Well guess that means there's nothing about the car I don't like
How what does everyone think of the 2001 type sh? Anyone offer advice to me to not get the car? Is the insurance just awful no matter how old you are? I'll be 21 in december.

how mch is the leather seat thing from the factory?
as for the SH, if you are gong to go turbo, i would not reccomend getting an SH, becuae if you go over about 280 hp, your ATTS system will be disabled due o the power, thus making it dead weight unless you want to take out the ATTS, but that costs money. overall, a very nice hanling car.

Thanks for the replies guys. Great info around here.
I'm not wanting to go turbo. Well lemme rephrase that, I've wanted to go turbo for quite sometime but I'm promising myself that if I build a reliable car from the start and don't spend every penny I have on it, that when I get a real job I'm going to fix up something I can be proud of. I just don't have the kinda cash to make it happen the right way right now.
off the soap box....I would like leather seats and hey going to canada to buy a prelude is a damn good idea. Oh nevermind that's ridiculous.
I'll try and find a set on the net used. Never know what I might run into.
Thanks for all the help guys, I hope this works out,
Noel
