my 4th gen vibrates violently at speeds above 30mph and the cabin noise is unbareable. i can drive straight it's not like i'm all over the place, but i seriously have turn my radio half way up to hear it over the noise. and i have to talk loud as hell too to the passenger seat. i'm thinking it's a problem with the front axle b/c i don't hear anything vibrating (panels) in the back of my car.

it's not:
warped rotors
unbalanced tires

any guesses

 

I'd have your alignment looked at. If you do, post up the original numbers (I don't know if any shops around you will just do a sweep on it and grab the numbers for you), I'd be glad to take a look at them. And if you do, make sure you get SAI and IA, not just camber/caster/toe. If they have a list on thrust line I'd be interested to see that one as well.
