Changing Front Springs on 1990 accord

Changing Front Springs on 1990 accord
I noticed that one of the front suspension springs is broken where it sits on the lower plate on the strut. Is this something I should worry about and change. The car rides ok. thanks

I've had a broken spring on the LX for over a year now. It never caused a problem and mechanics have told me about it although none have stressed that is is unsafe or important to replace. It is broken on one of the bottom coils by the place where it sits on the strut.
