Default Williams and McLaren Revolt

In Speed Sport News yesterday, it stated that Williams and McLaren are getting a little pissed off at the FIA for downgrading Formula 1. These new rules are not representing what Formula One is supposed to be. It is supposed to be the pinnacle of motorsports and the place where new technology is being developed. They say the FIA is "down dumbing" Formula 1.

More to come later...I have to go to class.

Mosley responds with a very good point:

"hire two halls in any city anywhere in the world and put, for example, Michael Schumacher, Kimi Raikkonen and Juan-Pablo Montoya in one, with both of you plus your electronics experts and your technical chiefs in the other. Invite the public to both halls and see what happens."

Now, if it were drivers in one hall and CARS in another, that would be harder to choose from

It's probably a good thing the FIA is doing that, considering their participants don't even know that the term is dumbing down.

when I first heard the news I too was pissed to lose the cool high-tech f-1 cars. Then I caught an F3000 race on Speed, and it was more exciting then any F1 race in the last 3 years! I'm pumped for the new format, should be great! The cars are still cooler then anything else racing (IMO) and now a more level format. Look out for the return of Villenue!
As a side note I had a chance to run my kart in a test session with Juan Pablo. Suffice to say that yes, they are that much better! He was truly in a diff. class. It was a day I'll not soon forget and I've never had more fun having my *** handed to me.
