What's the best bang for the buck rim in a 16x7 size on the lighter side? I could care less how they look or the brand, but I would like it to weigh in under 15lbs. and for them to be able to handle some abuse.

Rota Slipstreams would be your best bet considering your price range... I think you can pick up four wheels 16x7 and weigh about 12.5-13.5 lbs w/o tire for $500 shipped... Maybe less, depends on where you find em...

RX7 FD wheels aren't bad. I think Cosworth or Black R has a set for sale (forget which)

Black R has them for sale, but I think they are 16x8.

Anyhoo... I'd say slipstreams or RX-7.

I guess I'll go with the rota's, so where's the best place to pick them up at?

What are the offset 'limits' you want to stay within btw. +35-45? Would 45 make the wheel go in too much? Happened to stumble on a set of evo's with a +45 offset for 2200 shipped. Did I mention they were 17s..

depends on width of the rim..

you can use https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=364614 for bit more details
or http://toy4two.home.mindspring.com/offset.html does it for you.

IF you are looking at forged I'd say the SSR competitions.....11-11.5lbs for a 16x7.

I would think you would be ok with +42 to +45 offset... I one time went 17x7 w/ +40 offset and it rubbed the out fender, but then again I may have been too slammed... if that helps any.

Anything 16" from Volk is damn light. Especially TE37's, CE28N's, SE37K's, Gramlights....
