i think i've finally found a buyer for my 17" enkei zokus, so i may have to start a new rim selection process . i'm looking at either the volk te37's or ssr competition but if anyone recommends something else, go ahead. i will have a set of stock rims if i decide to race or auto x so would like to have a 17 inch. my zokus were 17x7 and i believe both the te37's and ssr only come in 17 x 7.5 so any words of advice and anything are appreciated

I have 17" SSR GT1's on my car. Very nice, not very common, and only 16.5 pounds. Go for the SSR Type C's.

 

I like the way the SSR look more than the VOlk, and they are very simmilar in qualiy.

 

I voted for the SSR TypeC since it's cheaper than the TE37 I think? And u won't attract the theft's eyes that much like the TE37. SSR wheels are very nice too but they're just not that popular in the North America yet.

Realtime runs both SSR Competitions and Volk TE37s so we know they are both good pick the one that floats your boat.

I have this exact same delima.

Something to chew on.

a TE37 in Gunmetal has about a 3 month wait and cost about $100 more per wheel.

I prefer the look of the SSR comps over the TE37 just by a little bit. According to a wheel weight guide that I commonly use, the SSRs are about 2.5 pounds lighter than the Volks in 17" size. Not bad.... If you can get these sooner than the Volks, and for less money, I would go for these.
Plus, it seems like everybody has volk TE-37s.

 

If money is an issue, I'd go for the SSR's. Otherwise, TE-37's in gunmetal.
