Default I need bass

I want to replace my stock components with something a little more beefy. I need some bass. I want to keep my car pretty light so not really thinking of a subwoofer. What component 6 1/2" will give me the most bass but clarity?

6 1/2" speakers are not meant for bass, they are more of a midrange driver. Midbass is usually a speaker 8" and up. Anyways to answer your question, Focal's comps are known for their strong midrange.

You need a 3 way system to get any real midbass IMO. Components in the kicks and 8 or 6.5 midbasses in the door is about as good as you can get without a sub.

depends on what type of bass you want. the sound of bass varies between ear to ear, some people prefer booming bass, some people prefer clarity.
